Weaving, colors, finishes: compose your model and see the result in 3D — even in your room, thanks to augmented reality.
Maison Louis Drucker now offers a 3D configurator for its custom-made models. The tool displays a 3D image of the product, on which you can modify the weaving (the pattern), the colors, and the finishes — rattan or aluminum structure. The resulting representation is very close to the final product, and an option even allows you to visualize the furniture in augmented reality from a smartphone. The models concerned are identifiable on the site by the filter “3D Configurator Available”.
Why a 3D Configurator?
Customization is at the heart of Maison Louis Drucker's work: each model is available in different weaving patterns, fiber colors, and structure finishes. This offers a wide choice — and can make selection difficult. Until now, compositions were made from color charts and samples; one had to imagine the assembled result.
The 3D configurator removes this difficulty: each combination is displayed on the screen on the product itself. You change a weave, a color, or a finish, and the image updates. The same model can thus be compared in several versions before ordering. This is a significant step forward in visualizing our products, for individuals and professionals alike.
What You Can Modify
The configurator affects the three choices that make up a custom model:
- The weaving — this is the pattern of the seat and backrest. To give you an idea of the range of choices: the company's collection features over 50 weaving patterns, from the simplest to the most sophisticated.
- The colors — those of the weaving fibers: about thirty glossy colors (Rilsan®) and twenty satin colors (Raucord®), in addition to natural fiber.
- The finishes — the structure, in natural rattan or aluminum, the latter being the solution for permanent outdoor use.
With each modification, the 3D representation shows the result on the complete product — not on a simple sample.
Also for Headboards and Lacquered Furniture
The configurator is not limited to seating. It is also available for certain headboards and for lacquered furniture. The principle remains the same: to visualize the furniture precisely in the chosen finish, rather than imagining it from a color chart.
Augmented Reality: The Furniture in Your Room
This is the most tangible benefit of the tool. From a smartphone, the augmented reality option displays the configured furniture directly in your interior, to scale. You can thus check if a color matches a room, if a model fits around a table or on a terrace before placing an order.
For decorators and architects, it is also a work tool: presenting a client with the configured model in its future location makes the recommendation much more impactful than a board of samples.
A Faithful Representation, Complementary to Samples
The 3D representation is very close to the final result: it provides an accurate view of the chosen colors, pattern, and finish. And for those who wish to validate the material before ordering, physical samples remain available: upon request, the company sends the colors of its weaving fibers by mail, and can create 15 cm woven squares for advanced projects.
The configurator and the sample are not mutually exclusive — one shows the whole, the other allows you to feel the material.
