There are two main types of rattan for structures. Manila (light rattan) which has been used for 25 years, and Malacca (dark rattan) which is the historical color of Parisian terraces. Care instructions
Semi-outdoor use.
Unpeeled rattan retains its glass-like skin which protects the inside of the cane from moisture. This furniture tolerates occasional rain and a certain level of humidity.
Skinned Rattan
Smooth appearance with no visible knots, uniform color. Peeled rattan naturally evolves over time: it starts light and gradually develops a beautiful honey-colored patina.
Peeled rattan is light-colored when new and, over time, takes on a beautiful light honey, then dark honey color.
