Description

As poetic and imaginative as ever, Philippe Model knows how to give a contemporary, cheerful twist to his rattan creations made by Maison Louis Drucker. Without compromising on seating comfort, Philippe Model frees himself from the rounded shape so characteristic of rattan furniture. He created a right-angled backrest woven in a range of colors, two of which are used to create mirlitons around the dark rattan legs for the Beaux-arts rattan chair. A sophisticated detail that gives all its elegance and originality to this Beaux-Arts rattan chair.

Furniture with a rattan frame is classified as ‘semi-outdoor’, meaning it can be placed outside under a shelter that fully protects it from rain, but not near bodies of water (such as seas, lakes, or rivers). For these areas and for fully outdoor use, all our rattan-frame furniture can be made with an aluminum frame instead.

What is the difference between the choices of finish (elegance, tradition and heavy duty) proposed by Maison Louis Drucker?

Weaving of the seat can be stopped under the seat (elegance), on the side of the seat with a rattan border (traditional) or on the side of the seat with the plastic border (heavy duty)

Is there a difference in quality between the dark rattan (Malacca) and the light rattan (Manila)?

No, the color of the rattan has no influence on its quality. The dark rattan (called Malacca) is the traditional rattan for Parisian terraces.

Is it possible to change the seat height of a chair?

Yes. the standard seat height of 45cm can be lowered down to 38cm or up to 90cm to create a high chair.
