DESCRIPTION

The 14/18 war brought a thirst for comfort. This Cézanne armchair from 1915 is a good example, with its wide seat, high backrest that also protects against draughts, and comfortable armrests. This light rattan armchair woven from natural fibers was a sales champion at Maison Louis Drucker for several years. It was found everywhere, in restaurants and hotels, in hospices, on transatlantic steamers and in private homes. This Cézanne armchair is at home everywhere. The arrival on the market of a new generation seduced by vintage and concerned by "clean", natural comfort is a success story.
