A living material · hand-woven
A climbing palm from South-East Asia, rattan is a living material: steamed or flame-heated, bent over wooden moulds and then hand-woven in our workshops, following a process unchanged for a century.
Warm and supple, it is the historic material of Parisian terraces. Recommended indoors and in sheltered outdoor settings, it can be repaired and rewoven — to last for decades.

The lacquered aluminium frame faithfully reproduces the lines of our rattan models, with the same hand weaving, the same colours and the same weave patterns.
Lighter and impervious to the weather, it is designed for exposed terraces and intensive professional use — without giving up any of the decorative character of the house.

The Houlgate has a lovely history. It is a 1930 Maison Louis Drucker model that Maison Louis Drucker was delighted to restore and republish. This armchair is enveloping, woven in a clever jacquard with unexpected and attractive satin colours, luxurious and unique, it will find its place in an original, cheerful and refined decor.
