Rattan
A living material · hand-woven
A climbing palm from South-East Asia, rattan is a living material: steamed or flame-heated, bent over wooden moulds and then hand-woven in our workshops, following a process unchanged for a century.
Warm and supple, it is the historic material of Parisian terraces. Recommended indoors and in sheltered outdoor settings, it can be repaired and rewoven — to last for decades.

Lighter still · same weave
The lacquered aluminium frame faithfully reproduces the lines of our rattan models, with the same hand weaving, the same colours and the same weave patterns.
Lighter and impervious to the weather, it is designed for exposed terraces and intensive professional use — without giving up any of the decorative character of the house.

Maison Louis Drucker is the only French family-owned company with over a century of experience in custom-made rattan furniture manufacturing. Thanks to its remarkable artisans, it has preserved the ancestral know-how of rattan craftsmanship. Everything is still, and always, handmade. Maison Louis Drucker's objective is, of course, to continue manufacturing custom pieces on demand for designers and clients, but also to offer its global clientele a selection of models immediately available. This is the case for this Précatelan rattan armchair, symbolic of Maison Louis Drucker's longevity. As beautiful from the front as from the back, this Précatelan rattan armchair, with its precious look of black bordered by the gold of the rattan, will immediately lend a touch of French chic to your decor.
