Maison Louis Drucker has been making rattan furniture since its creation in 1885, concentrating over the years on seating: rattan chairs, rattan armchairs, benches… The pride of its craftsmen has been, and still is, to realize the dreams of designers, decorators and private individuals, whatever the difficulties. The green Houlgate chair is a good example, and a lovely story. This Houlgate chair, with its predominantly blue weave, was found in a private home in Houlgate. It is a Maison Louis Drucker model from 1920, which Maison Louis Drucker was delighted to restore and reissue.

Furniture with a rattan structure is classified as “semi-outdoor,” meaning it can be placed outdoors under a shelter that strictly protects it from rain, except near bodies of water (seas, lakes, rivers). For these areas and for full outdoor use, we recommend our “outdoor” ranges with an aluminum or galvanized steel structure.
